What is Reiki?


Reiki is a Japanese stress reduction and relaxation technique that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on of hands" and is based on the idea that an invisible "life force energy" flows through us and is what brings us to life. If someone has low "life energy" we are more likely to get sick or stressed, and if it is high we can be happier and healthier.

The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words: Rei, which means "God's wisdom or higher power" and Ki, which means "life force energy". So Reiki is actually “spiritually directed life force energy”.

One treatment will leave you feeling a wonderful radiant glow flowing through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and has many benefits including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Many have reported amazing results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that anyone can use. It has effectively helped almost every known disease and illness and always has a beneficial effect. It works with any other medical or therapeutic technique to relieve side effects and promote healing.

Although Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. In fact, Reiki does not depend on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not.

The Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of Reiki energy. This should include an active commitment to self-improvement to be a complete system. On the one hand, ideals are guidelines for a virtuous life, and on the other hand, they are virtues that are worth practicing because of their inherent value.
